PIA management bans CBA activities

Supreme Court did not order for staff dismissal: Mushahid Ullah The management of Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) has imposed a ban on union activities through Essential Services Act 1952, which is violation of Basic Human Rights and Industrial Relations Act 2012. Senator Sherry Rehman a member of Senate Standing Committee on Aviation referring towards this ban said the present management of PIA which mostly consists of serving officers of Air Force who are brought on deputation into the PIA, is taking unlawful actions against the Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA) that is the only elected body which represents the low grade employees. The actions of management are entirely in violation of the basic Human Rights and Industrial Relations Act 2012. PIA CEO urged to stop issuing death penalty letters

A group of the sacked employees’ have once again appealed to CEO, PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik to stop further issuance of illegal dismissals from service since his actions were becoming death penalty for affected people and their families. Top of Form There were two latest sad incidents reported among PIA management’s targeted degree based employees. First, the Duty Briefing Officer (DBO) Rubina Qureshi, a Senior Flying Crew member, who was genuine Degree holder but Management of PIA, dismissed her from service on fake allegations. In result, first her husband died due to cancer for not having hospital treatment because of dismissal of her wife. And now Rubina Qureshi was also paralyzed due to lack of proper treatment and medicines. Another incident was death of Noor Ul Huda (Uniform Section) who was also the victim of fake Degree case.
